Mnemonics Miniature IBS Radio
Mnemonics Inc. IBS radio product line continues to evolve based on every changing customer requirements for smaller, light weight systems with improved performance. The Miniature Integrated Broadcast Service Radio (MIBS) is our latest IBS Radio. The MIBS Radio is an open system hardware/software architectural design based on current VME standards technology.
The Miniature Integrated Broadcast System (MIBS) Part number ZS4001C, technology is a small ¼ ATR "FAT" design that is light weight and offers an open systems compliant design. MIBS integrates proven technology that lowers risk, and will be fully sustainable in years to come. We have incorporated a cost effective spiral development plan for future growth supporting the possible addition of alternate configurations. These configurations can support transmit and receive functions as well as providing the necessary pathway for the cryptographic requirements supporting the Common Integrated Broadcast(CIB).
Based upon the Mnemonics certified Zebra cryptographic module, the certified BI Terminal software, a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) processor, and the latest in miniature software defined receiver technology, the Mnemonics IBS receiver provides all the receiver capabilities in small light weight, reconfigurable package. The ¼ ATR chassis is 2.6 x 7.62 x 16.25 inches. The total weight is less than 15 lbs.
The MIBS system provides the ability to:
- Provide four (4) independent UHF SATCOM receive channels (IBS-I and IBS-S)
- We can include an optional full band UHF transmitter module (IBS-I) within the chassis.
- The system integrated the appropriate cryptographic devices for IBS-I and IBS-S.
- Allows for easy access to the crypto control via the front panel.
- Allows front panel single antenna input.
- Choice of user interface methods i.e. EtherNet, RS-232, RS-422, MilStd-1553B etc.
- MIBS offer variable power choices which include 28VDC, 90-132/180-264 VAC 47-440 Hz.
- If required we can load the Optional U.S. Government owned TRS/TRSC firmware.
