Mnemonics Inc. will increase its Melbourne employment after receiving its largest contract ever
-- a $69.9 million Army deal to produce missile warning systems for helicopters.
For the five-year Army deal, Mnemonics will be the prime contractor to supply Radar Warning Receiver Systems,
primarily used on helicopters to detect and warn aircrews of radar-guided missile threats.
The company plans to start delivering the systems in July 2009.
"Most Brevard County residents recognize Mnemonics as a satellite communications company,"
Hap Thompson, Exec VP said. "However, over the past five years, the manufacturing capability of Mnemonics has evolved and become more technologically proficient."
