Director, Business Development

SUMMARY
Responsible for the Company's product line diversification into new major growing markets. Efforts directed at the development of existing and derivative markets, Mnemonics products, and services. Specific responsibilities include: establish strategic alliances, assess new business opportunities, direct and execute target capture plans and proposal activities, and provide direct customer interface within the overall strategic business plan of Mnemonics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Purpose
  • Overall responsibility for achieving agreed-upon yearly objectives in bookings and sales in this competitive business sector.
  • Responsible for supporting the Company's overall business strategy within its marketplace, enhancing customer satisfaction as well as increasing the Company's exposure to new business opportunities.
  • This position will lead the capture team as well as identify appropriate resources to meet the demand of established customer accounts and the capture of new business.
    Key Result Areas
  • Develop measurement criteria to gauge achievement of key objectives and motivate the capture team resources to achieve goals.
  • Set up and develop key technical and management relationships at customer level, supporting those of the major/key customer accounts.
  • Using pre-established procedures, report regularly on all activities within the Business Development Organization including quarterly and yearly forecasting.
  • Responsible for participating in the quality management system initiatives and adhering to all requirements.
  • Responsible for performing other related tasks deemed necessary by superiors.

  • Responsible for growing and diversifying the business base at an accelerated rate, in line with Mnemonics' business goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS/BA degree or equivalent, and minimum 5 years professional work experience in business development, sales, and marketing. Background in engineering, program management, or manufacturing operations preferred. Thorough knowledge of aerospace and defense systems marketplace or contract electronic manufacturing marketplace including manufacturers, suppliers, and customers. Willingness to travel on both domestic and international basis as required.
